The Penn-MRSEC joined with Drexel Materials Science and Engineering, Penn Materials Science and Engineering, Penn’s Singh Center for Nanotechnology, and WHYY to organize a Philly Materials Science and Engineering Day for the general public for the first time in 2011. Since then the event has been held annually and has continued to grow each year. Currently, 1000+ attend and interact with dozens of materials demonstrations and workshops at Drexel’s Bossone Research Center.
